Lovely looking at times, yet emotionally listless throughout, "Submarine" is a coming-of-age dramedy indistinguishable from "Juno," "Youth in Revolt," "(500) Days of Summer," even "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," its, better or worse, quirky/indie brethren. "Submarine" boasts an impressive cast and has funny and poignant moments, but it's nothing you have not seen before.
