The Book of Eli 2010

Travis Lytle’s review:
This bleached-out and literate post-apocalyptic traveler's tale supplies a strong vehicle for its leads, Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman. It's a solid and smart action picture.
The ending of this film is worth alone 2-3 stars. Everything else is a bit dodgy at times, but the overall picture isn't half bad :)
Agreed. Without giving anything away, I was happy with how it came together at the end. It elevated the entire film.
Yeah, this one was a very pleasant surprise. And the ending made an already great film even better.
This is a film I've past on due to unfavorable reviews I've seen elsewhere, but it sounds like it's worth giving a go. I've added it to my watchlist.
It's definitely worth a watch.
Cool I was interested in it initially then my interest kind of tapered off due to some of the unfavorable reviews I mentioned. I haven't watched a film that was recommended on Letterboxd yet and hated it so I'll definitely check it out.
Cool. You should also check out Gigli, Pearl Harbor, Battlefield Erath, and Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2.
@Richard That's just cruel. I've seen all but Superbabies and I'll never do that to my eyes again.
Haha. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Same here, Superbabies is the only one of those I haven't seen.
It's OK those would definitely end my streak of good recommendations.
I'll be posting my review of the Baby Geniuses sequel later in the evening.
Good. I'm looking forward to reading it.
I ended up watching a Fulci and a Von Trier instead. The Baby Geniuses saga will have to wait.
