It is a Halloween tradition for me to see the Rocky Horror shadow cast on my campus every year, and it is quite honestly the best way to watch this movie, if you ever get the chance. The cast brings it alive in a way we can't get with pretty much any other film.
God this movie is one of my favorite of all times. It's the drag mother of camp films. It awakened the genderbending queer inside of me. I could write an entire book as a love letter to this movie. Rocky Horror is practically the old testament for the freaks and weirdos who didn't have a voice. It's still a movie that is awakening the deviance in people. If you aren't sexually awakened by Tim Curry's role in this, then I must assume you don't have any sexual appetite at all.
And the music, good lord, that music will make me wake from the dead, so I implore you to play it at my funeral. Specifically Sweet Transvestite.
Overall, this movie is the reason I've become so weird and queer and I get emotionally in some form whenever I see it.
