Chris Underwood’s review:
A really pleasant surprise. Not very subtle but plenty of action, much of it sleazy, all the way. From the heavy opening through Sadean nightmare sequences, an awkward rape and a confusing family killing mystery, this barely pauses for breath. Much nudity, including the lovely Laura Gemser and if the giant spider in the horrible web looks nothing like the real thing, it doesn't look like something to mess with as it parts the luckless Debora's legs as she hangs from a wall. just short of a full score because not everything gels quite as it should and there are a couple of occasions when perhaps a smile was not the intended response. For all that though, anyone into Euro horror or giallo, definitely one to watch.
