Amazing. Both devastating (I'll say no more except that at one moment the entire audience gasped in shock) and devastatingly funny. Who knew Thor had it in him, but one of the biggest laughs of the evening belonged to him. One of. This film was so consistently funny it was beyond my expectations, both visual (thank you Hulk!) and in the dialogue, with consistent contribution, unsurprisingly from the incredibly charismatic Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr).
It was a great ensemble of characters and no light shone significantly brighter than the others. If anything, Hawkeye was probably the weakest of the lot but even still Jeremy Renner made him likeable and worth routing for.
