Cigar’s review published on Letterboxd:
A unique and honest interpretation chronicling life as a vampire and the hardships undertaken. This film leaves lovey-dovey scenes to twilight - still surrounding a relationship, but on a much more sinister level.
The development of the main character, a priest named Sang-Hyeon, mixes good and bad in a perfect blend over the course of the film, with a number of hidden emotions surfacing from both these lovers in a gradual, yet shocking fashion.
Thirst provides an interesting and refreshing angle into the fictional world of vampirism and how much this can affect friendships and relationships, leading to an overall thought-provoking experience on what life would truly be like as a vampire. If you are a fan of the supernatural, I would recommend giving this one a shot.
