I'm a sucker for a good tagline, so here's a list of 100 of them.
Chopping Mall - “Where shopping will cost you an arm and a leg!”
The Lift - "Take the stairs. Take the stairs. For God's sake, take the stairs!!!"
Haha, love 'em.
Edward Scissorhands- "His story will touch you, even though he can't."
Dead Snow- “Ein, zwei, die!”
Monty Python and the Holy Grail- "Makes Ben Hur look like an epic."
Armaggedon- "Earth. It was fun while it lasted."
Dazed and Confused- "See it with a bud."
American Pie- "There's something about your first piece."
Silent Rage- "Science created him. Now Chuck Norris must destroy him."
Alien 3- "The bitch is back."
Machete- "They just fucked with the wrong Mexican."
Jurassic Park- “An adventure 65 million years in the making.”
True Lies- "When he said I do, he never said what he did."
40 Year Old Virgin- "The longer you wait, the harder it gets."
Here are a couple suggestions off the top of my head. They're simple but memorable.
"Inception" - "Your mind is the scene of the crime."
"Ratatouille" - "He's dying to become a chef." (That one may work better when paired with the one-sheet art.)
The Royal Tenenbaums - "Family isn't a word. It's a sentence."
Alien vs Predator - "Whoever wins...we lose" - well they were right
Black Christmas - "Last Christmas, you gave me your heart… now I want your eyeballs"
The Fly - "Be afraid. Be very afraid."
Jaws 2 - "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water…"
Have to agree with Adam's suggestion of "The Fly."
Good suggestions. Keep them coming.
I second Dead Snow's “Ein, zwei, die!", better than the film.
This Is Spinal Tap: "Does for rock and roll what 'The Sound of Music' did for hills." Mars Attacks: "Nice Planet. We'll take it." Chicken Run: "Escape or die frying"
Crank 2: "He was dead....but he got better"
Army of Darkness - "Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas." Buffalo Soldiers - "War is hell.... but peace is fucking boring" (sums up the theme of the movie quite nicely I think)
KILL BILL VOLUME II: The Bride is back for the final cut. ED WOOD: Movies were his passion. Women were his inspiration. Angora sweaters were his weakness.
THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE II: 100% medically inaccurate. NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: If Nancy doesn't wake up screaming, she won't wake up at all.
Temple of Doom: "If adventure has a name... it must be Indiana Jones."
PINK FLAMINGOS: "An Exercise In Poor Taste" GREMLINS: "Cute. Clever. Mischievous. Intelligent. Dangerous." SUPERMAN THE MOVIE: "You'll Believe A Man Can Fly." NIGHT OF THE CREEPS: "The Good News Is Your Date Is Here. The Bad News Is... They're Dead." KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE: "In Space No One Can Eat Ice Cream." INNERSPACE: "An Adventure Of Incredible Proportions."
HOME ALONE: "A Family Comedy Without The Family."
Updated. Sorry I haven't been able to get a chance to update this. Keep it coming. :)
THE MONSTER SQUAD: "You know who to call when you have ghosts. But who do you call when you have monsters?" BACK TO THE FUTURE PART 2: "Getting back was only the beginning..." HIGH ANXIETY: "A Psycho-comedy." HALLOWEEN: "The night HE came home!" THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: "Who will survive and what will be left of them."
GODZILLA : "Size Does Matter!"
RAMBO: "Heros don't die.....They just reload!"
FORD FAIRLANE: " To his clients, he's the world's greatest Rock-and-Roll detective..To everyone else he's just a dick!"
GHOSTBUSTERS: "Who you gonna call?"
PHYCHO: "The classic story of a boy and his mother".or "Check-in, Relax, Have a shower" One more: THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY: "Love is in the hair!"
OK: a couple more: PREDATOR 2: "He's just in town with a few days to kill"
THE COMMITMENTS: "They had absolutely nothing...but they were willing to risk it all"
