I don't hate The Terminal. I actually don't hate any of his films. Most of them are at the very least, watchable. I just though The Terminal was an unremarkable movie. I actually love everything up on this list until after 15.
Man, I thought The Terminal was infinitely better than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Though I think I'm in the minority of people who really enjoyed The Terminal.
Thank god, love for A.I. He may have botched a lot of it but its still incredible.
@Aaron As I said above, I don't really hate anything of his. The Terminal to me was just his most non existent and ultimately forgettable. And aside from the stupid shit, Indy 4 doesn't really make me angry. I just thought it was a steaming pile of mediocrity compared to the greatness that is Indy 1-3.
@Celiac I absolutely love A.I. Also, Spielberg didn't botch anything. The more emotional moments of the film are actually all Kubrick's ideas, and it's one of the reasons Kubrick asked Spielberg to handle it. I think people just associate Kubrick with cold and calculating, when in fact people forget that he still had the capacity for humanity and sentimentality. Just look at the ending for Paths of Glory. Or even Spartacus.
Sorry, but I have to imagine Kubrick would have made the film much better. But then again I'd put him above any other. I most definitely feel like spielberg messed it up. The movie didn't know how to end.
