The Naked City 1948

Colin George’s review:
The Naked City opens with the promise of being more than your average noir, but is ultimately only just. The producer/narrator ballyhoos the innovative cinematography -- exteriors look sharp and deep, but are counterbalanced by stagey interiors as bland as the perfunctory procedural.
There are eight million stories in the naked city. Surely this is not the best one.
