Underrated Films
These are films I love that for whatever reason, I don't believe get enough attention or are unfairly overlooked or maligned or not praised enough, god dammit!

100
Some really great films on this list, such as The Devil's, Rolling Thunder, Southern Comfort, Straight Time, King of New York, Cul-de-sac, The Long Good Friday, Romper Stomper, Frantic, The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, Point Blank, Possession, Sorcerer, The Mist, and 10 Rillington Place, to name a few. :P
Glad we're in sync :) any on this list that aren't your thing?
Great list. LOVED Cul-De-Sac!!!
Yes; Twister. Not a big fan of that one. Sorry. I'm pretty sure I loved it when it came out, but I made the mistake of watching it again recenetly...
I do love most of the new additions, though, especially Johnny Handsome, Ronin, Dune, The French Connection II, The Last Wave, Opera, The Straight Story, Man Bites Dog, The Entity, Critters, Red Dawn, Exorcist III, and In the Mouth of Madness (or has that one always been there?).
I think Frailty is a underrated film but I never see anybody mention it so maybe that one is just me.
Love Twister and liked Frailty a lot. Love me some Powers Booth but in hindsight it does look like a tv movie. Doesnt pop off the screen with cool imagery.
@Del Boy glad to here it.
This is a very interesting, diverse list Colin. I have seen a lot of movies and my counter is just over 50%. There are quite a few I will check out'
Master and Commander is great on Blu-ray! I love films like Vampires, Critters, and The Mist to give my brain a break every so often. Then there is "In The Mouth Of Madness!! I like a lot of the films on this list.
I really enjoy "Twister". We have watched it several times. The sound track of the storms is awesome . It's a favorite in my theater.
I agree that Frailty would not be considered underrated.
Interesting list!
Yeah man, it's a lot of the genre pictures that get forgotten over time. In the Mouth deserves much more love! You mentioned you have a theater? How big is that?
Hi Colin: 22'x16'. Seats 6 (+ floor cushions :-) w/bar & popcorn machine! ..One of my best investments.
