Refreshingly slow and contemplative for a film set in Hollywood. All the time that we see Stephen Dorff's moviestar character spending thinking translates into time we spend thinking - I think that makes sense? The pace and the chemistry between Dorff and his daughter, played by Elle Fanning, made this happy, sad, funny and enjoyable. Loses half a star though due to the amount of the movie that Stephen Dorff spends with no shirt on. I shouldn't have to feel jealous while watching a film, man!
