Corey Atad’s review published on Letterboxd:
So many documentaries attempt to bring to audiences a character. That's their mission, and it's ambitious. Grey Gardens is a great version, for example, but most of these kinds of docs flail about until failing completely. Not so with Beauty Day, which sees passed its central character's eccentricities to discover a more complicated picture of humanity, nostalgia, seizing the day, and all that jazz. A smart, fun, touching portrait, and a great example of its kind.
