The Wicker Man 1973 ★★★★★

While you'll find it in a horror movie section, and maybe at one time was scary, it's actually not scary at all. It's instead a very odd, quirky, kinda hippie dippie-infused 70s film that still entertains greatly thanks to it's pagan diversions, interesting and unexpected soundtrack (Willow's Song is fantastic) and of course, Christopher Lee. If you've seen the Nicolas Cage version for shits and giggles, you owe it to yourself to see it done right.

  • I think the scares / horror comes from the pay off and the eventual gut punch of that. Also it really plays with the fears of the hidden things that people around us do who we don't really know.
