I was surprised by this movie. I thought I'd seen, or at least knew about, everything JGL had done. After finding this movie and watching it, he did not disappoint. He makes his condition believable yet not over the top. Jeff Daniels does this as well, playing a generally believable and enjoyable blind man. The rest of the film to me, however, seemed to not match up with the level these two actors brought to the table. Isla Fisher and Matthew Goode seem like they're phoning it in. Fisher's character and "Deputy Donut" seem to be written out of the story quickly, recklessly, and with too many loose ends. The fate of the cop actually makes me dislike Chris (JGL) as a character.

On the whole, and enjoyable film to watch with a couple of glaring flaws.
