    Split is a fascinating exploration of a man with heightened DID. As the movie goes on you get a better understanding of Kevin, played by James McAvoy, and the other characters in the story help give him dimension. 

    Writer / Director M. Night Shyamalan does a great job of balancing the dark humor with the sad subject matter. Every shot is perfectly framed. Shyamalan engages the audience without being too flashy or seeming self important.

    Outside of the good visuals there's practically nothing to enjoy in this film. All of the actors feel like they are given either bad direction or no direction at all.
