This is a list of who I think are the top 15 cinematographers in history. There were quite a few people I wanted to add (Zsigmond, Miyagawa, Wong Howe, Doyle, etc) but I had to keep it short.

All too often cinematographers are overlooked by the movie going public. They work very closely with the director, and quite often are just as important to a film as the director. Without further ado, the list:
