Dark City 1998
It seems to me that it is unfortunate that The Matrix completely eclipsed this film. Due to the prudent decision to make Dark City a stand-alone film causes it to age with grace unlike it's successor by the Wachowski brothers. The story is clear and the motives of the characters are reasonable. Visually Dark City is impressive and the animation remains artful to this day. Unfortunately, similar to The Matrix, Dark City also fails to deliver the most satisfying ending.…

Fantastic Mr. Fox 2009
I will probably never again enjoy a children's film as much as I did this one. That's all I really need to say about this one.

Whatever Works 2009
Presented in an "all the world's a stage" style with clever soliloquies and chuckle-worthy dialogue. Though it may seem sloppy to some, I see it as a realistic view on day to day life. Nothing ever comes out as eloquent in real life as it does on screen. This evokes that truth of our daily lives and makes this surreal series of events almost palpable even in it's most ridiculous.
