Occasionally feels like a straight-to-video action film, then sometimes manages to elevate itself with some fun action sequences, but never feels like a Die Hard film.

A great follow up to a great film, and that's coming from someone who has no prior knowledge of the Star Trek mythology.

One of my favorite horror comedies, and probably my favorite Tom Hanks movie. One of Joe Dante's true gems, and one I've loved ever since I was a kid.

Went into this with low expectations but I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. On one hand I loved the horror-version-of-Home-Alone vibe, but I really can't stand torture porn. If there had been some sort of explanation for the killer's actions I probably would have enjoyed it more, but without it there's nothing but gratuitous torture and gore. There is a lot of genuine nail-biting suspense to balance it out but in the end it I felt as if it could have been better. Definitely worth checking out for horror fans though.
