A quirky low budget drama with heart.
There's nothing flashy about this film, it's just a simple charming piece about characters overcoming their individual problems that's very well-written and well acted. There are some cuts in this film that aren't quite right, but they're never enough to disrupt the flow as the focus is more on the characters.
As i say, the acting is great from the leads such as Peter Dinklage, Bobby Cannavale and Patricia Clarkson, right through to more minor parts played by the likes of Michelle Williams and Raven Goodwin.
The chemistry between Dinklage, Cannavale and Clarkson is fantastic as the former is initially a recluse pestered by the latter two, though the trio bond slowy over time helping each other with their respective problems.
I especially enjoyed the ending tying things up on a pleasant note without any cheesy-ness to it.
