Not as terrible as many critics would have you believe, but still pretty terrible.

Andrea Riseborough turns in a great performance as Wallace Simpson, and the film certainly has good production design. But this is not enough to save a film that is fundamentally flawed in terms of structure, narrative, character and dialogue.
