Masterful. Schreck was the first and I think the last to portray a vampire in it's true form. More creature than man, his performance remains chilling to this day.

I watched the version with Stoker's characters re-added and with the somewhat lacking score. Next time, I will seek out the Symphony of Horror version which I've heard gives it new life.
