Danylo Zubaryev’s review:
In my opinion, this is the best depiction of psychopathy in the history of cinema. It's achieved through Christian Bale's incredible acting performance and the wonderfully written internal monologue of the psychopathic protagonist, Patrick Bateman. Christian Bale plays the character absolutely flawlessly. He portrays a cold, cynical, sick mind so beautifully and realistically and I don't see any other actor doing such a good job of it. The character's casual nature towards horrendous acts and evil thoughts is a perfect way of illustrating a psychopathic mind. I suppose that this film isn't that amazing overall, but I enjoyed it greatly due to my personal interest in psychology. I highly recommend this for any psychological-thriller fans out there.
