I definitely think Titanic is overrated. Thor didn't do much for me either.
There are a few films here I like, but a lot on here I could'nt agree more with like A Beautiful Mind, Titanic, POTC 3, Pay It Forward, and especially Signs. I don't get why so many people hail it as this masterpiece. Signs was just awful. One of the worst films I've ever seen.
Do people call Signs a masterpiece? I thought it was generally considered rubbish. The alien at the end is just comical.
I like Signs, but I've never heard it called a masterpiece.
Star Wars? Really? I usually don't say this but 'Explain yourself!'
I too have heard Signs referred to as a masterpiece. The reason I saw it was because a good friend of mine recommended it to me saying it was amazing. But I was highly disappointed by it in the end.
And Star Wars obviously isn't bad; but I noticed that Episode 5 is ranked 11th on IMDB's top 250 list, Episode 4 is ranked 17th, and Episode 6 is 94th. And I personally never thought they were amazing. But, to be fair, I haven't seen the Star Wars' in a while, so I should probably re watch them before making my final judgement.
Oddly enough, upon Signs release, not only was it called a masterpiece, but I remember Newsweek called M Night (I shit you not) "the next Spielberg".
I wonder what they think of him now?
In defense of M. Night I think his first few films were good, but now he just seems to of lost it. I remember The Sixth Sense being called a masterpiece not Signs, but hell most films have probably been called a masterpiece by somebody somewhere.
