This movie’s neither good or bad, it just sort of happens. It finds the perfect blend of huh? and oh. Theron is obviously having the most fun playing her one dimensional, “I’m evil because it’s part of the name Evil Queen,” role. Kristen Stewart does what she does best, mumbles 90% of everything, and gets excited for one scene in the movie. Hemsworth, well he’s Thor with an axe.
There’s a lot of stuff that serves no purpose that I would have cut out (The village of scarred women is an awesome touch, but simply goes nowhere and manages to eat up at least ten minutes of the movie), but aesthetically the film is very pleasing.
Like I said, it’s pretty middling.
