David Blakeslee’s review:
A raw and unsettling portrayal of racism and misogyny with provocative Bunuelian accents throughout, even though there aren't any full-fledged leaps into surrealism here. Still, that makes the dialog and scenarios all the more powerful since there's no diversions to blunt the impact. Visual compositions and suspense are also quite impressive - a much better film than I was expecting!
