I love Sofia Coppola. I loved Marie Antoinette and The Virgin Suicides. Lost in Translation is as holy to me as the Bible is to many. But The Bling Ring didn't work for me for several reasons:
1. I can't stomach Emma Watson's accent. I just can't.
2. It felt like a less disturbing version of Spring Breakers, and is clearly the one to fall short when compared to Korine's.
3. Israel Broussard's (Marc's) acting was terrible.

This movie was particularly disturbing to me mainly because the environment in which it took place was so familiar to me. I live in Denmark, I frequent the same supermarket chain, I either own the same IKEA furniture or know someone who does, I walk past similar houses constantly, I am familiar with the language, the country, and the culture. That's what made Jagten such an unsettling film.
