List by David Valkenet
The List of Shame
I have not seen a lot of movies. Classic movies. Movies I should have seen by now.
It is my hope that by making this public list I will shame myself into watching these films sooner rather than later.
They are roughly ordered, and the more people tell me to watch a certain film the higher it will go. I'll be adding more as I remember them.
This will work best if people check back to the list periodically and get on my case if I haven't seen these films. I need to feel accountable for not seeing them.

Bonnie and Clyde! I can't believe I didn't see this sooner.
My Own Private Idaho as my impromptu Van Sant education continues.
McCabe and Mrs. Miller... wow.
Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Stagecoach, Talk to Her Picnic at Hanging Rock and The Double Life of Veronique are all brilliant. Slightly jealous of you getting to see them all again. Notorious is nearly perfect as well, I'd say.
They all get a vote, and I'll move them to the correct position. I am very excited for Cherbourg, I've had the DVD for a long time now.
The Player is off and my third Altman film didn't disappoint.
All the Real Girls is gone. Very ambivalent.
The Sweet Smell of Success a near masterpiece only hindered by my ignorance.
Top Gun was a waste of time.
Ohayo is watched. Nothing much to say, but I find Ozu leaves me a little speechless. Everything there is to say about the film is already in it and to discuss it any further feels redundant.
