This film begins seemingly as a typical love story, a woman takes a writer through a village in Tuscany as their relationship blossoms. They begin discussing the importance of original art vs a copy, and whether it would matter if ultimately you were left feeling the same way as you would seeing an original.
The film takes these ideas and almost splits the movie in half, while you're left with a feeling of confusion and wonder of what is real and fake.
The film is challenging and layered enough to warrant multiple viewings. Definitely one of the overlooked gems of 2010.
