Dolev Amitai’s review published on Letterboxd:
One look at my ratings will show that I do not have much low rated films.
This is not because of perhaps me giving films higher ratings than I should.
It is because I try my hardest to skip over films that are considered bad/stupid etc.
There are so many classics and great films I have not seen, I try to limit myself to watching only interesting films, films by directors I like and films that are considered at least good.
Why am I saying this? Becuase I also try to reserve half a star rating to films that are seriously the lowest films made.
Even if a film has at least some good scense I will try and give it a star at least.
Piranha 3DD has no one good scene.
I have not seen the first Piranha 3D, but it seems the directors had no ideas for making audience return for a second film but to add lots of boobs.
Adding some boobs to a film does not make it better.
Having a scene where a couple is having sex, and a piranha then leaves the female body through her vagina to bite the dude's dick off only makes it worst.
The film tries so hard to be funny, but its not.
The acting is horrible. Only Danielle Panabaker is the one who can say she walked out of the film with a little dignity intact.
I would say Katrina Bowden was not so bad, but she was given some horrible lines and a storyline that truly ruins her.
Piranha 3DD was also released in 3D, which I did not use to watch the film. But I can only guess it was horribly done.
Considering even the piranhas were horrible made CGI.
Horrible horrible film.
