Letterboxd — Your life in film

directed by the same director of "the girl who leapt through time" (i didn'y know until googling for the soundtrack), the film is honest, funny, touching and successfully conveying universal family values to it's audience. these i realized was also what's good about the director's previous movie, and i have high hope for his third project. both movies have stand second and third viewing perfectly well, highly recommended.

Flat boring. I was going to say this is on par with Green Lantern and Thor, but actually both are slightly better.

this is a simple movie with unpretentious approach on a time travel theme. it's so refreshing to watch a movie with such innocence i can't help myself enjoying it every time.

i only give credit to this movie for casting the girls (jamie chung, sasha barrese? gotta admit they have taste) and some nice locations they picked to shoot. otherwise, it's a fucking annoying movie.

Three words: Zeta Jones' ass.

the only cheerleading movie i ever saw because the premise implying a lot of boobs. but even when actually not much was shown i still watch it because it's actually funny.

i love it (probably low expectation factor). i think this movie is a level above other recent comedies like Hangover, Take him to the greek etc. Natural, clever delivery and, dare i say, nicely edited. There's really no "dramatic-major-fucked-up event" or "unbelievably stupid assholes & lame friend" formula played up here. And the two guys actually pulled off some decent acting here too, especially Bateman, which is seriously underrated imho.

i actually think this is a nicely done movie, a bit like constantine. the only thing that break my suspension of disbelief in both movies is the main actor's face, i mean acting, if you can call it that. otherwise it's a decent fun science fiction flick.

beautiful images of sands in the 40's and great soundtracks.

Gothic noir science fiction with Jennifer Connely in it. And a chick with a great boob somewhere in the middle of the movie. What's not to like?
Awesome art direction, too.
