127 Hours is, in my opinion, a little overrated. That's not to say that it is a bad film; on the contrary, I actually think it is a very well-done film. The direction is great, as is James Franco's performance and the music is very good. However, the film as a whole doesn't do much for me. I can appreciate the psychological descent of the character Aron and I think that the emotional aspects of this film are all handled very well by both Franco and Danny Boyle but, for me at least, this film does not live up to the hype.
