Iain Dickie’s review:
I watched this in Glasgow's GFT last night with a room of like-minded people who appreciate the cheesy wonder if this excellent sci-fi.
The one liners were cheered and received mighty laughs, which made the film even better.
I even thought the special effects stood up and the eye popping scenes were great.
If you get the chance to see it in a cinema do so, it really enhances the film greatly.
Highlight of the film was my brother hitting the giggles for about 5 minutes and starting me off.
Great stuff.
I just noticed how many times I use the word great, I will have to improve my vocabulary.
Are you telling me Arnie roughly treating those rats wasnt hilarious?
Best bit of the film.
Two "greats" is not excessive for descibing this great film Iain. :-)
That is true, came out the cinema with a big smile, great!!!!
would love to see this film in a cinema... i wish more classic movies were played like that!
Rewatched and reviewed this yesterday. I love this film!
Brian, do you have Cinemark theaters where you live? They seem to always be running classic screenings. "Jaws" screens in two weeks I believe.
Man, Jaws on the big screen would be so freakin' awesome! I wasn't even born when it was out in theaters. We do have a Cinemark theater, im gonna check their website!
I caught Jaws when it came out for a week last month and Back to the Future last year in the UK. Even though I had seen these films on TV and DVD numerous times, seeing it in the cinema is special, if you ever get the chance to see an old classic go for it.
Back to the Future!! Another classic!!
