Strangely enough -
this one worked for me.

Had some good laughs (maybe because I also had some good cocktails) and it actually was a little heartwarming.

I have to admit - I kind of liked it despite I wanted to hate it because of all this Prequel-Sequel-Reboot-NoNewIdeasInHollywood-Thing spreading like a desease.
The only boring thing is the "love story", and some 3D Effects are not that good as you could have done it.
But the Cast is surprisingly doing a great job with Rhys Ifans and Denis Leary on top (man Sally Field got old ...) and the story takes it slow at the beginning (like on Batman Begins) and speeds up just when it needs to. I guess I would watch a second one ...
