Cabin in the Woods reminded me exactly why I am a fan of horror films. I've seen so much crap, so much garbage, so much torture porn over the last decade that I'd almost given up on the genre. I felt like there would be nothing that spoke to me as a fan ever again. Ten minutes into this movie I knew I was wrong, so horribly wrong. The writing was absolutely incredible. Everything a horror fan could ask for was in this film. The white board gave me so much hope as to what we could see in the movie, and when we got the crappy zombie family I felt a pang of disappointment. I should have known better then to doubt Joss, as he delivered everything I could have ever asked for in spectacular fashion. I want to go back to the theater now and watch it, over and over again. I want the DVD to be out NOW so i can make everyone in my clique watch it and feel the same way I do. This is what horror should be like folks.
