The Place Beyond the Pines 2013
Having not seen Cianfrance's previous movie Blue Valentine (also starring Gosling), I had no particular expectations for this one. However, after seeing the exceptionally favorable reception it's received, I must say I set the bar a little higher. And it did not disappoint.
