The Hunger Games 2012
Still good for a repeat viewing, and rattles on at quite a pace, presumably in order to cram in as much of the source book as possible. I'm quite looking forward to the next instalment whenever it might come. Also I should add that the film looks great.

Silver Linings Playbook 2012
Bradley Cooper gets released from the nut house and returns to live with his parents and proves that he should never have left. He meets Jennifer Lawrence however, who has issues of her own and together they help each other.
Really funny, sensitive to the issues with which it deals and with strong performances from both leads, hence the numerous Oscar nominations, Silver Linings Playbook is a real surprise. About three quarters of the way through it starts to lose its way, but just about pulls it back together for the end.
