David Parsons’s review:
This is one of my all-time favorite films—hard to believe it's 12 years old already.
It really captured and rebelled against the explosion of consumerism at the time. The Rebel Without A Cause for our generation.
The casting is ideal and Fincher is a genius.
Protip: I'm usually not a fan of DVD commentary but the parts of this one with Fincher, Norton and Pitt chatting over a beer is epic. Feel free to skip Bonham Carter's parts :)
Also, not sure if it's on the DVD too but, on the blu-ray version there's commentary from Chuck Palahniuk, the author and Jim Uhls, the screenwriter. Absolutely fascinating to hear both of them talk about the story.
