Freeman Williams’s review:
Vol. 2 gets a lower rating for me than Vol. 1, which was the quality American martial arts flick I had anticipated all my life. Vol. 2 is a slower affair, with some great pulpy moments, perils and double-crosses, but less kinetic than its predecessor. Splitting the story into two parts was ultimately the right decision, as they are two very different movies.
