Devon Torrey Bryant’s review:
Well, that was pretty fantastic. Some questionable attitudes towards the women in the piece, but offset a bit by the fact that Vic is a pretty strong character who ultimately has a crucial role to play in the ending. Solid performances all around, a head-smashing soundtrack, and some camerawork that proves that Refn was absolutely in control from frame one. Much respect on that front. I was pretty engrossed with it...moving right along to Pusher II: With Blood On My Hands. You've got to love that for a subtitle.
