Not being a fan of the Coen Brothers movies (I find them unnecessarily complicated or just different te be different) I was wondering what they would do with a classic, already filmed, western novel. Especially one as bleak as True Grit.
Visually it is stunning as always and Jeff Bridges shines as the lead actor but Matt Damon is a close second for best performance. Great. Just great. Finally a Coen movie I really like.
