Red State 2011

Duncan Stripp’s review:
What starts out like an American Pie style frat boy comedy quicky descends into horror as three boys are held captive by a fundamentalist church, who intend to kill them. The FBI are quickly involved and things take turns for the worse and the comedic in Kevin Smiths angry diatribe on the state of America today. Great performances, especially from John Goodman and Michael Parks, and a literate, knowing screenplay from Smith makes this a violent thriller that has something to say and deserves to be seen
