Horrible and with probably the worst written script I've ever had to sit through... While watching it I thought if James Ellroy ever sits through this his head will explode. A horrible self justification of neo-fascism operated by the LAPD from the 50s onwards. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves (especially Sean Penn, who chews scenery like Al Pacino in his prime). It makes Mullholland Falls seem credible.
