top (number to be determined) scary films, classic horror. member participation needed

Films must be scary, they must have at least one iconic scene that is seen as scary, the film does not have to belong to horror genre to qualify so that opens it up to thrillers as well, no pointless horror porn all scenes must contribute to storyline so no Hostel, hostel 2 and Saw film barring the first saw which is not gory, it has already been added on the list due to several scenes but the scene where he cuts his foot off is frightning enough.

remember gore is not banned, but it must have a reason for being gory, this does not include bad guy gets his just deserts aka Hostel.

have fun

    The Sixth Sense

  • do you have reasons for including them?

  • Yes I do and keep in mind I'm very desensitized to horror, and rarely does anything scare me or creep me out.

Lost Highway has one of the creepiest scenes and characters of all time in the mystery man.

The Ring has an eerie feel to it throughout that gave me that spine tingling thing you get when you're genuinely creeped out.

The Sixth Sense succeeds in being a very creepy ghost story with numerous scenes that will give you chills.

  • Martyrs will haunt me till the day I die. In my eyes it is an impeccable horror film and future classic (If not, already a classic)

  • The Strangers.
A subtle scary movie that is terrifying because it sounds like it could happen to you. There is a specific scene that really freaked me out (***SPOILER***):
Girl: "Why are you doing this to us?!"
    Attacker: "Because you were home."
