I had never seen Red Dawn before last night. Not really sure how that happened. I could have seen it growing up. And I should have seen it based on its pedigree alone. But I guess I always thought it was a silly and light hearted brat pack affair. So inaccurate. This movie is sombre and flagrantly dramatic. It is brutally violent and stark. I kind of loved it.
I actually still haven't seen this and am ashamed :(
Do you have it on Blu or is it on Netflix?
I just got it on disc on Netflix. And actually, the first disc I got was cracked. And the disc I did watch was one of those, like, first generation DVDs that had standard on one side and widescreen on the other. And the widescreen was inside a box on screen so the picture was all small and crap. Weird and crappy. But the movie is so excellent and not what I expected.
