A little slice of Ninja action from my ill-supervised youth. I don't know if it's gratifying or troubling that I still find it so damn enjoyable.

This movie has something of a bad reputation. This is a pity, as I consider it one of the most visually striking sci-fi films ever made. Add in an incredible soundtrack by Daft Punk, a great performance by Jeff Bridges that blends zen wisdom and Dude-isms, Olivia Wilde in tight clothing, and a whole lotta shout-outs to the original film and you got a damn enjoyable film.

Chow Yun Fat is appropriately bad ass, Simon Yam is appropriately scuzzy and the violence is appropriately bloody. And hey, Anthony Wong actually has a pretty decent arc to his character. Highly worth your time.
