I have to say I really enjoyed this film, maybe the bad press I read lowered my expectations enough but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of humour and warmth in the film (something I felt was missing from The Fall). I enjoyed the little quips and asides (a highlight was the Prince's throw-away about focus grouping). Yes it was light and airy and hopelessly cheesy but that fitted the extravagant fairy-tale feel. The costumes and sets were as exquisite as was to be expected.
