As far as I'm concerned, this is the greatest movie of all time. Scarlett O'Hara may not make the Top Ten Characters I'd Want to Be My Friend list, but she is ambitious, resilient, and unflappable. Also cool that Hattie McDaniels became the first black woman to receive an Academy Award for her role as Mammy. If you want a sweeping epic, if you want a torrid love story, if you want a little piece of history, if you want beautiful women, handsome men, and stunning costumes, (if you have 3 hours to kill), this is it.
