BlueKitchen .net’s review:
HBO has become a nice little movie studio and is releasing some fine films brimming with great performances. Diane Lane (still looking wonderful, by the way) is the centerpiece of this film about America's first reality show, "American Family," broadcast on PBS in 1973. The family, deemed an "all-American," quickly shatter because of the husband's (Tim Robbins, also good) infidelities and the show's producer (James Gandolfini) pushing the rift along at the behest of his bosses. Well done by all.
