Cheerfully silly comic western goes on forever but is hard to dislike outright, thanks to Mel Gibson at his most charming and an eagerness to please. Sometimes a movie is just likable. I don't think this makes anyone's top ten list, but I'll gather it's probably better than you remember. If you remember it at all.
