Tedious, monotonous thriller plays out like an odd variation on The Hitcher for most of its running time. I suppose that could have been a good thing. And I guess you could say Samuel L. Jackson is up to the task, but it's hardly worth it; as the film struggles to hold your interest, while you search for the point. It does eventually get to a "point." But that ultimate revelation is so absurd, and the finale that it brings about is so ridiculous and laughable that I doubt anyone would care. I sure as hell didn't. Bar none -- one of the stupidest films I've seen in recent years.
